Tzu's Blog
Welcome to my Blog... I want to tell you...my head is full of things to say... But really I want to tell you a little about how my blog works. I think the best order to put information in the blog is newest first. This is to make it easier for you to see whhhhhhat's happening most recently. If you see a different color in the middle of the sentence, it means there's a link to click for more info on that item. Use these to educate yourself. I will try to put lots of information in my blog all the time. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to Contact me. Being a philosopher, I'm always ready to learn how to do it better. Thanks a lot, and please remember to have fun. When tomorrow comes, you can either look back on today and say "Wow, that was great!" or "Man, I wish I'd done that different." Me, I prefer the great... Archived Blogs
Monday, July 18, 2005 11:59 Whoa!!! I really can't believe that it's been almost 3 months since I've updated my "daily blog". Talk about a slacker...but I have updated my website since then. In fact I've updated it a good bit...just this w/e I put up some new Collectibles and a whole new Rox Library...of course the Rox Library only has two books in it so far...but I've got a handful more to put in there...and there's some great new stuff I've added to my Cool Stuff for Sale... I did finally get a package together for the Cannibus Cup this fall. And Thailand is still on the drawing table. I think I've figured out that it takes about an hour to add one item to the website...from shooting the pictures to publishing the code...it's prolly shorter than that...but I like to surprise myself my doing better than I estimate...but figuring on that time...If I spend 10 hours a week just putting new things on my website and on eBay, I should be able to add 10 things a week...So, that's my new goal...plus other time spent making my site cooler...like the new blinking starfield background...what do you think of that? So, lately, I've been making my house a home...and just chillin'...after being on the road for 15 years...I think the Dead said it best..."tired of travellin' you wanna settle down" So that's about it for now...at least I'm back...and I'll write more when inspiration hits...thanks for tunin' in...
Tuesday, April 19, 2005 9:17 Hi there, back again, and not so long away this time...getting geared up for the Denver Gem and Mineral Show this weekend. I've gotta drive 1500 miles to get there, and I'm leaving tonight. It will be hard to leave my house for that long. I've really gotten accustomed to being here. I've just added a new page to my site. Here's a link to my GreenZap page. Check it out. It's a new online payment system that just might give paypal a run for their money. The rates are better than Paypal's and they're giving $25.00 to anybody that pre-registers now. Other than that, I've been tweeking my site in different ways, hopefully getting all the kinks out. As usual, I'm hoping to get some more rocks up on the site when I get back from Colorado. I'm also working on figuring out what few events I will be attending this summer. It won't be the usual for me any more. No more driving around in circles going to all the shows. This summer, I see a few, maybe 5 or 6 events I'm going to try to hit up. I'll post here when I figure out which ones I'll be hitting. This is prolly all I'm gonna write until I get back from Denver. Hopefully I'll have a few new specimens to share when I return. Until then...keep it real...and motor easy.
Monday, April 11, 2005 22:40 The following takes place between Thursday, March 3, 2005 7:35 and Monday, April 11, 2005 22:40: I have begun to get settled into my new home. A quick trip to Colorado to pick up the last of my personal possessions and catch 3 Sting Cheese Shows at the Fillmore in Denver was prolonged by a snowstorm over Donner Pass. This forced me to stay in Tahoe overnight and see the first of a two night stand there. Now wresting with my 92 Pathfinder and it's overheating issues and my 82 Honda Interstate 500 and it's restoration issues, I'm finding myself more of a mountain man, stuck out on Magic Mountain, far away from the day to day grind of the city. Hoping to catch the Everyone Orchestra this weekend in Orygun. But other than that, not too much on the musical horizon right now. On the edge of my seat waiting to find out if I get into High Sierra and Horning's Hideout this year. There's definitely always music around the Bay Area, so I'm sure there will be some boogie'n soon. Kimock is gonna be here in early May, and I'll prolly catch those local shows. I won't say I told you so, but I do remember something about not going out on the road all the time once I got a place to call home. With my old trusty 600MHTZ desktop back online, I expect I can get some more work done on my page. I do have a gem show in Denver next week. If you're in the area, stop by my room #107 at the Holiday Inn 4849 Bannock. I'm signing off for now...C ya soon...
Thursday, March 3, 2005 7:35 I finally made it!!! I got my house!!! I moved in on Tuesday 2/22/05, so I'm still getting settled in. I've got so many plans, so many things to do, I just have to start tackling them one by one. One of the big plans is to completely revamp this web site. Finally after having had a web presence since 1998, I'm ready to take it to the next level and start advertising the page and making it work for me. Check out all the changes that I've made today...I spent the whole day redesigning the front page and building templates to work on the rest of the site. Tomorrow I won't be able to do much. I have some house things to attend to...but I'll be back in full force next week. That is until I head out for Langerado in Florida. What's that you said, I thought you were 'off the road'. Yeah, yeah, but I still have to attend some events to keep food on the table. That's it for now...Have a grateful day!!!

Eurkea!!! I've discovered the secret to ultimate happiness. Hey now!!! Wow, this might have been the longest time I've gone without updating the BLOG since I started it. December 15...wow so much has happened since then. I spent the rest of December in Florida, visiting the family and then going on the Jam Cruise...if you remember I said last year that the Jam Cruise was the best time of my life. I even had a quote, "If Jerry had been there, I'd have jumped overboard." Well, this year actually was even better. It will end up on the Tales of Adventure page. After the Jam Cruise, I came back to California and got really serious about finding a house. Long story short, I did it. I should be moving in tomorrow afternoon. I'll be sure and update as soon as the internet is hooked up at my new place. After signing a contract to buy the house, I headed to Tucson for the gem and mineral show. I've been going since 99 and I have never stopped in Quartzsite on the way. Last year I recall driving by it and saying to myself, "There goes Quartzsite, I've never been there, and I really should check it out." This time I stopped, and WOW!!! It was great. Shhhh don't tell anybody. Ya know how that ends up. You tell everybody about the cool mellow thing, and Wham! it's so cool and great that everybody goes and tells everybody else, and then, well, it's not quite that mellow. But I did get some great rocks and had a good time hanging out with great people. So, great folks, COME ON DOWN. Did I say something about the secret to ultimate happiness? Oh yeah, I did. Well, I'll start by admitting that I'm not the first discoverer of this secret. But it really takes discovering it for oneself before you can attain it. Ya know, if you think back, there are tons of things that people have told you along the path of life that you look back and say, "Man, if I'd been able to see that before..." Well, this is one of those things...obvious to everyone, but I discovered it when I made this year's new year's resolution. I resolve to use more patience and tolerance in my everyday life. WOW what a tall order. But I expect that it can only yield great results. I think that's a good leaving off point for now... TTFN |
