As I said, this was one of the most raw experiences I've ever had, never mind losing my passport and ALL my money, the place was as real as it gets. I found people walking around with missing arms or legs, children coming up to me while i was eating, politely waiting for the leftovers, and a sence of a people whose struggle has been going on for years, only just now beginning to get better.
The two places most tourists visit are the capital city of Phnom Penh and the city of Siem Reap, which is home to the Angkor Wat temple complex.
