Selecting the gems and minerals that you get to see in my collection is a long and involved process.  It's loads of fun too!!!

Careful selection of the finest minerals is something I take very seriously.

Above is hemimorphite from China.

Sometimes finding the perfect specimen requires close inspection.

Here I am looking for water inside of these agates from the island of Sumatra in Indonesia.

Sometimes it's tough to choose which to take and which to leave.

The finest of these azurites from China have actual crystals on them...they're tiny but they're there...

Literally millions of choices to sift through.  I hand-pick each specimen.
