Tourmaline is the American gem stone. Tourmaline comes in every color of the rainbow, and from all over the world.

As with all of my mineral pages, they are taking a while to compile, but I will have free high-speed internet at the hotel, so hopefully I'll constantly be updating my page with new stuff...if I don't party too hard at the Tucson Gem and Mineral show.

Here's a fine specimen of tourmaline var. rubellite from the Himalaya mine in San Diego County, CA.  This specimen weighs in at approximately 208 grams and is available for sale for $1400.00.
