1990

She danced to the dawn with bells on her shoes.

She sang out the song and she told us the news,

“Everybody look, up on the hill,

you gotta get movin, you can’t stand still.

The sun’s a risin, shinin on the town.

Let’s all get up so we can all get down.

The sun kept risin, it was bout high noon.

Up on the horizon came a big yellow moon.

The sun was slippin off into the sea.

We were running around dancin with the trees.

The sky was burning crimson red,

Move you feet man and shake your head.

The sun was gone, the sky was black.

You can dance to the drums if you’ve got the knack.

The stars were splattered all across the sky.

You never wanna leave, never say goodbye.
